Incorrect assembly instructions - sail webbing
Wednesday, 10 March 2004
Please be advised that the Litespeed and Litespeed S owners manuals have incorrectly stated the method for attaching the webbing to the outer leading edge. The error is described on page 9 or 10 of the respective manual under the section "Assembly from 4.5m Breakdown Form". The manual states that the sail webbing should be attached to the top of the leading edge. This is incorrect as the webbing actually needs to be attached to the bottom of the leading edge, as depicted in the related photo.
The only gliders that may be affected are gliders that were short packed for shipment. Gliders that were assembled in the factory, or delivered without short packing should not be affected.

The photo above is the image from the manual, and shows the correct attachment method for the webbing. With the glider lying on its undersurface, the webbing is attached to the bottom of the leading edge.
All owners of Moyes Litespeed and Litespeed S are urged to check their gliders, to ensure the sail webbing has been correctly fitted.
Both the manuals have been corrected and posted to the web site.
